The 2025 Calendar is online, and I’m so excited. We had another 50-degree day today, with lots of bright sunshine and soft breezes. That means our fields are flooded with icy runoff. I was up to my ankles in frigid water when walked to the pin cherry and alder trees along the south fence. They’re still deep in winter’s cold grip. Thank goodness. I’m not sure the fruit trees will do very well if they break their winter’s sleep too early.
That said, it was fun to post dates for upcoming herb discovery walks, remedy-making classes and tasty events. I’m looking forward to those first Spring flowers: violets, dandelions, crab apple and hawthorn. Who would have thought they offer helpful medicines as well as beautiful color and fragrance!
I hope to see you this spring and summer. It’ll be great to walk the pastures and learn about your journey into medicinal herbalism.
