It’s snowing sideways – perfect weather for booking your Herbal Safari adventure! This cold won’t last, and there’s a full calendar of guided tours and remedy-making classes is posted. Registration is now open.
Our first outdoor discovery is set for April 27th, 1:00-4:00PM. We’ll walk the farm to identify and learn about the shrubs and trees coming alive with warming weather. We’ll examine the helpful barks of prickly ash, alder (catkins pictured at left), polar, wild apple, cherry, oak, and pine (including its needles). We’ll examine how to gather inner bark while not harming the tree or shrub. We’ll discuss how these barks have been used over many generations.
Please visit the Calendar page for more information and to register. Consider taking one or more of the Herbal Safaris scheduled for spring, summer and fall: the herbs, blossoms, berries and roots on display will shift with the season.
Take your herbal discovery journey to its logical next step: using helpful herbs in ways that make sense for you. Take hands-on Remedy-Making classes to learn about teas, tinctures, infused oils, salves, creams, and more. Two classes offered: Level 1 and Level 2.
Oh, and don’t miss the special Mother’s Day event featuring hands-on remedy-making and an herbal high tea. Space is limited.
Be sure to download your free ebook. Please note: Herbal Safaris usually require walking over uneven ground.
